We are passionate about our role in the Education sector and we know how important it is to maintain high standards. All of our candidates undertake a stringent checking process in order to work with Alderwood. These checks can include CRB, Reference, Qualification and face-to-face identification checks.
Below are some of our accreditations we uphold as a Quality Recruitment company.
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is the governing body for the Recruitment Industry. The REC Audited logo is only available to companies who are fully compliant with industry regulations and operate to the highest possible standards.
Alderwood Education is a corporate member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation and a member of the Education Group. Working to the REC Members Code of Practice, we aim to deliver the highest recruitment standards. View the REC Education website.
Alderwood Education is also a member of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo), the professional body that represents the interests of organisations engaged in the acquisition of business professionals. To become a member we were required to submit 20 references and undergo a comprehensive vetting process over two months. As a member we adhere to a strict Code of Conduct which ensures high quality procedures and best practice are followed in all areas of our business.
We were the first recruitment company in the UK to obtain certification to the new British Standard BS25999 for Business Continuity. This standard has been developed to help companies minimise the risk of potential disruptions and to help ensure continued business operations.
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses. It applies to the processes that create and control the services an organisation supplies.
The OHSAS specification gives requirements for an occupational health and safety management system, to enable an organisation to control its OH&S risks and improve its performance.
ISO 14001: Environmental Management Certification is an internationally recognised standard which outlines requirements and objectives allowing businesses to demonstrate sound environmental practices without having a detrimental effect on the environment.
The Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is one of the 60 Accredited Chambers that make up the British Chambers of Commerce Network. The Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Chamber covers Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Waterlooville, Emsworth, Petersfield, Alton, Liphook and Bordon.
Southampton & Fareham Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a partnership of nearly 2,000 businesses that together employ over 100,000 people including most of the regions major employers. It is the largest Chamber in Hampshire and has been running since 1851.
We are a registered member of the OISC to Level 1. In accordance with the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996 we are able to provide immigration advice, guidance and assistance with work authorisation applications. More information at the OISC website.
We have successfully undertaken the Diversity Assured health-check and Audit service. In gaining accreditation we are able to clearly demonstrate its commitment to diversity and its ability to deliver high quality recruitment that fully embraces diversity.
